Towergate Wilsons appointed as preferred provider of Service life insurance

Towergate Wilsons has been appointed as the exclusive provider of the Service Life Insurance (SLI) scheme by Sterling Life Limited.

Service Life Insurance was launched by the Minister for Armed Forces in 2007 after an MOD tender, Towergate Wilsons have been specifically tasked to raise the profile and volumes of this product with HM Forces to ensure servicemen and women not only have the right amount of cover but also the right protection.

Charles Herring, Towergate Wilsons Sales Director commented "The MOD now has two discrete military schemes and as with the PAX product, we feel it is vital that all members of HM Forces are given the same adequate briefing time at units to develop their understanding of this product and its benefits. As opposed to the generic term life assurance products that are still sold in this market, this life cover does not carry any deployment restrictions"

As one of two preferred providers, Towergate Wilsons will be able offer Military Personnel life insurance which was previously unavailable. Life assurance protection will be provided irrespective of occupation, rank or theatre.
