Towergate Wilsons continue their support of Veterans

Towergate Wilsons were very honoured to continue their
support of Veterans Aid recently with a cheque for £3,417, helping
not only to care for homeless veterans but to improve the current
care facilities.
Veterans Aid offers invaluable practical and
immediate help to veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming
homeless. It provides accommodation, financial assistance, food,
clothing, advice, counselling and advocacy; last year Veterans Aid
provided 19,739 nights of accommodation for veterans who would
otherwise be on
the streets.
Colonel Cardozo, on behalf of Veterans Aid,
said “Thank you for the thoroughly generous cheque for £1,212 which
arrived at our (very crowded) drop-in centre just before Easter
weekend. You, more than most, will
know what a sum like that means to our small charity and I assure
you it will be spent very carefully. It is truly heartening
to have Towergate’s sustained support over the last 12 months”.
