Leading military insurance provider, Towergate Wilsons, has
announced its continued sponsorship of the Army Golf Association
(AGA) for the third successive year.
At the sponsorship presentation, the President of the AGA,
Lieutenant General Nick Houghton CBE, said: “We are delighted to
continue our relationship with Towergate Wilsons. Sport is a vital
component of Army life, never more so than in the current period of
high operational activity. We strive to provide a full programme of
team and individual golf events for all ability levels and the
continued support from Towergate Wilsons enables us to keep entry
fees down and make events accessible to all.“
Towergate Wilsons are major sponsors of sports throughout the Armed
Services, at National, Regimental and unit level. Their philosophy
has always been to recognise and assist all those clients who
purchase their products and to support HM Armed Forces at all
levels.
Rod Breeze, Managing Director of Towergate Wilsons, added,
“Having provided a range of insurances, including kit, home,
personal accident, travel and motor, to the military for over 60
years, I feel we understand their needs. Ensuring that the members
who benefit from such sponsorships understand what insurances we
provide and the benefits they bring is a real challenge that we are
looking to address in 2008.
“Our staff hold presentations or surgeries at most Army Units
and are always looking to help players with the best deals on
individual insurances. We look forward to supporting the AGA in
2008.”
